Brief and Full Records

Brief Record Display

Whether you choose to do a basic or advanced search, you will eventually land on the Brief Record Display page, which lists all the results which satisfy the search parameters you have identified (such as subject term, author name or title). Depending on the number of records your search produces, you may want to further filter your results. The Tweak My Results menu to the left of your results list, contains a list of categories (these are called “facets”, like the facets of a diamond). By including and excluding these facets (such as availability, resource type, publication date, and so forth), you can narrow down your search results.
