CONTINGENT SYSTEMS explores critical intersections between creative practice and algorithmic culture. Comprised of an international group exhibition, symposium, and set of publications, it considers the ways that artists have worked, in both historical and contemporary contexts, to render the algorithmic intelligible, opening space for reflexive critique, meaningful resistance, and innovative repurposing.
The Luke Lindoe Library collaborated with AUArts Faculty, Dr. Ashley Scarlett and Lisa Lipton, curators of Contingent Systems, to create a reading list of publications available online and at the Library for borrowing.
