Black History

Celebrate Black History Month with these amazing resources.

Introduction

Black History Month

This library guide was initially created to celebrate Black History Month, which has been celebrated every February since 1926. It is a celebration of Black history, community, resilience, creatives, and life. This year, the theme for Canada's Black History Month is Black Excellence: A Heritage to Celebrate; a Future to Build. We invite you to check out these resources to learn more and learn how you can participate in celebrating Black History Month. This guide highlights resources on Black history in Alberta, Canada, and worldwide. It includes databases, books, images, video, podcasts and more on topics related to Black history.
